who made it?

the scarf kasi has been spun and woven by hand. the colour of the scarf is divided in the golden section (136cm nature/ 84cm grey or olive)

dimensions: 45cm x 220cm

the scarf is 100% eri silk (peace silk) and is biodegradable.

the eri silk fabric is hand-spun, nature-dyed and hand-woven by 7weaves in the forest regions of northeastern india, in assam.

eri silk can be washed by hand with cold water. the scarf can be ironed at a maximum of 150°C. eri silk cannot be tumble dried and cannot be bleached.

the collection was created in collaboration with 7weaves. the scarf was woven by Surobhi Rabha in the studio of 7weaves in the garilic forest village in assam.

the craft of handspinning, natural dyeing and handweaving of textiles made of peace silk, strengthens the position of women, offers economic freedom of indigenous communities and preserves the impressive biodiversity of the indoburma region.
