the geneva coat is inspired by a hoody. the coat has a hood and is closed by a zipper. the inserted pockets are characteristic for the coat.

fabric
the coat is made out of 100% wool and the lining is 100% viscose. the wool fabric is GOTS (global organic textile standard) certified. this certificate not only guarantees pollutant-free yarns, environmental protection and social standards for the workers, but also species-appropriate, stress-free animal husbandry.
the wool fabric is loden made in germany. through the fulling process and the roughening, the loden fabric becomes windproof and waterproof, as well as hard-wearing and durable. the natural fabric is breathable, ideally balances temperatures and allows moisture to escape better than many synthetic fabrics.
care
cleaning is possible, but often not necessary. a few hours in the fresh air, and you usually have a “cleaned” piece again. If it is absolutely necessary, you can wash the garment by hand in lukewarm water, squeeze it out carefully and dry it in the air.
the design, the pattern and the prototyp from geneva coat is made at the studio of velvet novel in lucerne, switzerland.
the coat is sewn by dorota and her team in poland. the studio is located in stettin, close to the german border. it’s a small team of six seamstresses.
